Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is situated in a lovely little village just outside Oxford, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere while being conveniently close to the city center. The rooms, though comfortable and clean, were below standard due to poor workmanship in the attic setting. The dining experience was a mix of lovely and disappointing, with a great breakfast but some service issues encountered. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, enhancing the overall stay.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms had special touches like extremely comfortable bedding and a variety of books to enjoy, but a missed service resulted in an uncomfortable situation. Despite the not-so-hot water, the large super comfy bed and spacious bathroom were highlights along with the friendly and helpful staff providing local insights.
The hotel is located in a beautiful village setting just outside of Oxford, perfect for exploring Oxford and the surrounding countryside. The rooms are spacious, despite being up a couple of flights of stairs, and provide a lovely atmosphere. The service from the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, although there was an issue with hot water in the sink. The dining experience offered a great selection, especially the poached eggs, but could improve to meet higher standards. Overall, the value for money is good considering the convenient location and comfortable stay.
